Seller Insight This Beautiful home enjoys a superb position close to the delightful semi-rural village of Alveston. “My partner bought the property back in 2007, shortly after its completion, and he has always said that as soon as he set foot through the front door he knew it was the house for him,” says Lisa. “I moved here just six months later and I too fell completely in love with the place. It’s such a lovely house with a really warm and welcoming feel, and the location simply couldn’t be better. I moved here from London, and the thing that struck me the most was the utter peace and quiet, but it’s also an incredibly picturesque setting, the village has a really friendly community and everything we could possibly want or need is within easy reach. For us it really couldn’t have been more ideal.” “The house was obviously brand new when we came here, but over time we’ve made quite a few changes to enhance it further. We added a gorgeous new staircase with glass balustrades, refurbished the master en suite and we also revamped the kitchen. We were originally only intending to replace the oven, but the showroom had a stunning SieMatic kitchen that we knew would work perfectly in the house. We then decided to add underfloor heating so all of the floor tiles had to be replaced… a small job turned into a huge project, but it was all well worth it.” “The house has a tremendous feeling of space and each of the principle reception rooms radiate from a large central hall, so the layout flows beautifully,” continues Lisa. “And there’s also a really lovely feeling of connection between inside and out. Virtually every room on the ground floor has doors that open straight out onto the garden, so during the summer months it simply becomes an extension of our living space. Outside we have lots of lovely seating areas and we’ve done a lot of planting and even created a rather stunning rose garden, so the outlook is just gorgeous.” “My favourite room would have to be the kitchen; it’s one of those rooms that everyone walks in to and immediately says wow. It has the most beautiful SieMatic units, a gorgeous Wolf range cooker, a Sub-Zero fridge freezer, a huge wine cooler… basically all the top-of-the-range mod cons you could possibly want.”*

The house, garden and location combined make this a very special home, but it’s the life that it’s afforded us that I’ve enjoyed most,” says Lisa. “We’ve watched the boys grow up here and we’ve shared some really happy times with family and friends. We’ll certainly take away some wonderful memories.”
