This house offered both peace and privacy without the feeling of isolation.” “The house was in an absolutely diabolical state when we purchased it twentyone years ago; almost unliveable. Every wall and ceiling seemed to be covered in Artex, fireplaces had been covered up, there were the most awful 1960s doors throughout… the list goes on. It was a huge project of renovation, during which we also added a very large extension that gave us a gorgeous open-plan kitchen and dining room, but the house is now a really beautiful home that’s been brought right up to modern standards.” “The house sits in around three acres of the most lovely grounds, and of that around an acre is formal garden and then the rest is woodland. When we moved here my children were very young and so the woods in particular provided them with a fabulous natural playground. They would build campfires and then cook sausages and play for hours in the little dens that they had created.
