Seller Insight The property is currently run as a B&B but would also make an ideal family home. “It is a very welcoming house” say the owners, “endorsed by the fact that the majority of our B&B guests have returned many times over the past 16 years. Because of the en suite/ private bathrooms, the property lends itself well to being a B&B or small business, with the downstairs bedroom easily adaptable as a bed sit or office and the self contained flat perfect for letting or for an independent relative.” “We were relatively young when we moved here,” the owners continue, “and it presented a new and exciting opportunity. The children had grown up and Rob was still working full time, so I gave up my job and ran the B&B by myself for 6 years. It was a totally new experience, working at home but also having a lot of freedom during the day to do other things. Rob retired early and we have run it together since then, which has given us a fun lifestyle, meeting loads of people and making some good friends.” “Equally, Arbour House is a lovely family home offering plenty of room when our children and grandchildren descend on us, especially in the summer holidays and at Christmas” say the owners. “We moved here after our children left home although I often wish this had been our family home when the children were growing up. There is plenty of room for everyone to have their own space, something which is particularly important during the teenage years!” The local area too has much to offer. “Wyre Piddle is a very friendly village with lots going on” say the owners. “It boasts a small but beautiful church, a thriving Village Hall, a lovely riverside pub and an excellent wine bar with regular live music. Since the by pass, the lorries can no longer drive through and disrupt the peace, and there is a regular bus service serving Pershore, Evesham and beyond, both of which offer everything you need. There are also several school buses to take the children to various local schools.” It is an old historical house with all the quirks that go with that and full of character. It has been a very happy place to live and we shall be very sad to leave.”*
