We’re close to the amenities in Milton Keynes and Rushden Lakes, and we enjoy walks through the nature reserve and along the River Nene. We enjoy perusing the shops in Olney, as well as trips to Beckworth Emporium and Sywell Aerodrome where there’s always something interesting taking place.” “The house and garden are perfect for entertaining. We’ve enjoyed hosting tea parties for our friends and the house comes into its own at Christmas with the crackling fire and views of the frost dappled trees. We love reading, hence the 3 library walls, and the upstairs lounge is the perfect spot to relax on the sofa in front of the fire.” “We will miss the house and the location as the views are just stunning. We get up in the morning in the middle of nowhere, yet everything we need is easily accessible. We converted the double garage into an art studio, and I took up archery in a local club from where I progressed to number 3 in the country. We’ve both gained so much from living here but we’re excited to move on and create new experiences elsewhere.”*

LOCATION Great Doddington is highly sought after and lies on the north side of the Nene Valley and is about 3 miles south of Wellingborough. Northampton lies about 9 miles to the west and is easily accessible via the A45 with quick access to the M1 and the A14 . Trains from Wellingborough reach London St. Pancras in about 50 minutes and there are also trains from Northampton to London Euston in about 55 minutes. The village has useful facilities including a primary school, post office, village shop, church, chapel and public house.
