Green Ginger Spritzer YIELD:

3 to 4 servings 20 minutes

PREPARATION TIME:

A high antioxidant alternative to sugary ginger ale.

• 2 cups prepared green tea 1 bunch green grapes 1 cup sparkling spring water

1-inch piece peeled fresh gingerroot Fresh mint (optional)

Let tea cool. Place washed and dried grapes on a sheet of foil, and freeze until grapes are solid but not rock-hard. In a pitcher, pour in green tea and sparkling water. Place ginger in garlic press, and squeeze juice into pitcher. Add sparkling water. To serve, put a few frozen grapes (an ice cube substitute) into each glass, and pour in sparkler mix. Top (or not) with sprig of mint. Eat the grapes when the drink is finished. variations

▶ Use mint tea or mint-flavored green tea in place of green tea. ▶ Use lemon or mint-flavored sparkling water in place of plain. ▶ Use ice cubes in place of frozen grapes.
