"The effect of attending this event was to stimulate us in Bishop Monkton to even greater efforts to further expand and improve our QEII Field. If everyone present got that same stimulus the competition will be even more challenging for next year's awards!" Richard Field, Bishop Monkton (Winners, Love Your Field). And there was the added bonus of a video message from our President The Duke of Cambridge, specially recorded for the Awards Dinner. After such a great evening we look forward to next year.

Announcing Fields in Trust Ambassadors As well as hearing such heartwarming stories from across the UK at the Awards evening, we also announced our new Ambassadors. Outdoor recreational space gives the future generation of top sports men and women a place to discover and hone their talent and Fields in Trust's work is vital to ensuring this resource. Roger Federer, Tim Henman, Sir Matthew Pinsent, Sir Clive Woodward and Geoffrey Boycott all recognise this and we're honoured to have them join us as Fields in Trust Ambassadors. "In the wake of 2012 there has never been a better time to secure the playing fields and sports facilities of Britain for the upcoming generations", Sir Matthew Pinsent. file:///C|/Users/kathryn.cook/Desktop/Your%20Fields%20in%20Trust%20December%20update.htm[09/12/2013 11:45:38]

And a Goodbye   Many of you will know our long serving and dedicated Fields Manager Rocky Sharrock. For the past 18 years he has been a key source of knowledge on all things relating to field protection, supporting landowners and communities across the country. It is with great sadness that we announce that he will be leaving us this month to spend more time on his other projects. We wish him all the   very best for the future. "Rocky's contribution to the charity over the last 18 years has been outstanding and he will be very sorely missed by all of his colleagues here and by the many communities that he has helped across the UK. We're all very glad that he has promised to be a friend of the organisation for years to come," Helen Griffiths, Chief Executive of Fields in Trust.
