FICPA Hires New Chief Member Engagement Officer After conducting a national search, the FICPA is pleased to announce the selection of Maunda Land as its new chief member engagement officer (CMEO). “I am excited to have Maunda join our staff and to put her member engagement talents to work for us,” said FICPA President-CEO Deborah Curry. Prior to joining the FICPA, Land was director, Membership Engagement, Diversity, & Student Programs for The Institute of Internal Auditors, a professional association with 195,000 members worldwide. She holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from the University of Central Florida. Land’s experience includes over 16 years in the nonprofit and association sectors, with emphasis on membership engagement and professional development. A member of the American Society of Association Executives, she also is an ASAE DELP Scholar (Diversity in Executive Leadership Program).

Land will be managing the FICPA’s Central Florida office, which recently opened in Orlando’s Lake Nona area. “Opening the Central Florida office is yet another step in the FICPA’s commitment to supporting members in all phases of their careers, along with future CPAs,” explained Curry. “We are pleased to locate staff in another area where we can work to increase our personal engagement with our members.” As CMEO, Land is leading the FICPA’s member engagement, recruitment and retention efforts.
