A new Center for Applied Technology and Sculpture is being built on the Fort Hays State Univerity campus, and you can be a part of it.

Fort Hays State University’s Center for Applied Technology and Sculpture will house all of the Industrial Technology, Technology and Engineering Education, and Sculpture/Art Studio. Scheduled to be complete in July 2017, the Center for Applied Technology and Sculpture will be located on North College Drive just across the street from Davis Hall and the Memorial Union. This state-of-the-art building will be two stories on the front portion of the structure closest to College Drive with one and a half story near the back of the building. It will feature the traditional Fort Hays State University “limestone look” covering the facade, an iron and millwork covered entryway, and other classic industrial characteristics to let passersby know just what activities are taking place in Fort Hays State University's newest academic building. Students will have the opportunity to gather, study, and relax in the two-story glassed-in atrium area near the front entrance. At one end of the atrium concourse, there is a social café nook for Internet surfing. Two seminar classrooms round out the middle of the atrium area, which can be opened to expose a large space that will be used for symposiums, technology days, and student recruitment. The new be 58,000 square feet technology center will consist of: Computer CAD Lab Instructional & Graphics Labs STeM Labs
