CPR/AED for the Community and Workplace

Adult Cooking Workshops

The purpose of this course is to train individuals to overcome any reluctance to act in emergency situation and to recognize and core for life threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies in children or adults. The classes cover adult, child and infant CPR; the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and first aid for choking. The Fountain Hills Fire Department provides the certified CPR instructors. The American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) “CPR and AED for Community & Workplace” course provides individuals with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to perform effective basic life support in an emergency. Persons who do not work in the healthcare field but are occupationally required or just desire to have CPR knowledge and skills would attend this course. Participants may include: • Emergency response teams in business & industry • Adult residential care personnel • Child care workers • Teachers

Students in this class will be able to experience a hands-on cooking class while learning some new and exciting recipes. These classes are designed for the person who wants to learn new cooking skills, but may not have the time to sign up for a multiple session class. Courses will meet for 1.5 hours every Wednesday or Thursday. These classes will feature recopies that will be easy to duplicate at home. All you need to bring to class is an apron and a note pad. Each course will feature new recipes.

Students will enjoy learning about and engaging in this free-flowing, transparent, water-based medium. You will begin using black and white values while continuing toward the full range of color with still life or photographic references. Beginning techniques include value development, wet on wet, glazing, and color exploration. No drawing experience necessary!!! A supply list will be provided upon registration. 4, 2-hour classes. Drawing Anyone can learn to draw! Before you begin to paint, it is important to have refined drawing skills. You will learn how to see differently so that you can draw on a paper what you see in real life. At the end the 6-week course you will have a finished drawing! COURSE DAY DATE
