IN THE

ROTARY COMMUNITY MUSICAL PARK

COMMUNITY SERVICES

GENERAL INFO

Through a cooperative community effort by the Town of Fountain Hills, the Fountain Hills Cultural & Civic Association and its Greening of Downtown Committee, the Four Peaks Rotary Club, and the Fountain Hills Rotary Club the development of the Rotary Community Musical Park is now complete. The original vision for this project was to offer a unique play experience connecting people through creativity, unique soundscape and sculptural design in an outdoor environment. Featuring 14 instruments, the musical park is located within Fountain Park, near the playground area. This distinctive play area is designed for kids of all ages, including those that are still kids at heart. But these instruments are more than just for play, the value of music is noted to have lasting effects beyond just a cheerful tune. Music helps to build reasoning skills and cognitive development. It can increase the capacity of your memory, refine time management and organizational skills, and teach perseverance. And playing music is just plain fun! It builds confidence, encourages creativity and self-expression. It can reduce anxiety, relieve symptoms of depression, and elevate your mood. It just makes people healthier and happier!
