2016 Fall & Winter Art Walk At a staggering 150 pieces, Fountain Hills is home to one of the largest public art collections in the state of Arizona! Register for any of our Fall & Winter Public Art Walks and discover the power of art among Arizona’s natural desert beauty. Our public Art Walk invites you to gaze upon striking statues set against Fountain Hills’ mountain ranges, scenic skies and of course our World Famous Fountain. Follow our Centennial Circle Art Walk through the Centennial Circle sculpture garden, then view the many pieces of varied art such as bronzes, murals, paintings, photography, and three -dimensional art inside the River of Time Museum, the Community Center, the Library, and Town Hall.

But your adventure doesn’t stop there! Our Avenue of the Fountains tour takes you down our main street avenue for a view of the magnificent eagle in the piece, Freedom, located on the median. Then continue to Fountain Park where you will meet Teddy Roosevelt, George Washington, and the rest of the Presidents of our “Fount Rushmore” section of the Fountain Park tour! Fountain Hills, Arizona, is the place to see art in all its glory with a majestic backdrop of the McDowell and Four Peaks mountains and the Town’s signature 560-foot tall Fountain, located in the center of its 64-acre park. Flat Art Tours are held on Wednesdays only. Please register online for the tour you would like to attend. Registration is Free. Registration includes your tour reservation and Art Walk Guide program.

Fountain Hills Public Art Collection All About Art

Are you All About Art? Then we have something for you! At over a staggering 150 pieces, Fountain Hills is home to one of Arizona’s largest public art collections. From our public Art Walks to the Fountain Hill’s Artists’ Gallery Special Events, there is no shortage of creativity here! Fountain Hills features Docent Led, Self Guided and Special Reservation tours November through April each year.

Docent Led Tours

The Town of Fountain Hills is now hosting docent-led art walks each month from November through April. The volunteer docents will be providing information on the walks about each piece they visit, the techniques used to create the piece and a background on each artist that created the piece. Special Sessions

Those classes marked *Special Session are specially planned Fountain Park tours that end one hour before a Fountain Hills Artists’ Gallery Featured Artist Reception. The Town of Fountain Hills along with the Fountain Hills Artists’ Gallery invites you to the gallery for a special meet and greet of their monthly featured artist! Gallery receptions are in the Fountain Hills Artist Gallery store on the Avenue of the Fountains from 5-7 p.m. This season’s Featured Artist Receptions are scheduled for October 29, November 19 and December 17 2015. Self Guided Tours

In addition to our Docent Led Tours, Fountain Hills offers self-guided amenities for all four of our Art Walk tours. In the age of technology, our public art piece plaques, naming each of our pieces, showcase a customized QR code programmed with the artist bio and history of the art piece. Simply grab one of our Art Walk Guide Books along with your smart phone and you’re ready to begin! To utilize the QR codes on the plaques remember to download any Free QR code reader app on your smart phone.

Private Tours

Are you looking to enjoy one of our Docent Led Tours but don’t see a date that fits your schedule? You can request to have a private tour! Simply call our Tourism office to set up a special reservation private tour. Private tours must be made a minimum of 3 weeks in advance. For more information, please call 480-816-5165.

Fountain Hills Artists’ Gallery

The Fountain Hills Artists’ Gallery boasts exceptional fine art that rivals that of any other gallery in the Greater Phoenix Area. The gallery displays a diverse and unique selection of fine art ranging from classical to contemporary. The gallery is owned and operated entirely by the artists on exhibit.
