_xààxÜ yÜÉÅ exz|ÉÇtÄ W|ÜxvàÉÜ Fall? Fall...are you here? Will we see you soon? I don’t know about you, but I got myself all geared up for the fall season...purchased closed-toe pumps and booties and other fall fab finds and after a couple days of rain, fall is nowhere to be seen. So out came my flip flops and maxi dresses for a few more weeks. I’m ready for fall...fall clothes, fall shoes and fall events! (I’m also ready to not feel the need to run my AC 24/7...so NOT fall!). Speaking of FAB fall events: I am a contractor for Westfield ( a Visual Merchandiser and Fashion Event Coordinator) and we have been busy gearing up for the Westfield UTC Grand Opening on November 15th. This not-to-miss event will be featuring Guiliana Rancic and Natasha Bedingfield! Be sure to find yourself in the new Palm Plaza around 7 pm on the 15th to see Natasha LIVE! The day before, FGI Members are invited to a MEMBERS ONLY treat at Neiman Marcus! Meet the NM Fashion Director for Women’s Accessories, AnaMaria Pimental. RSVP to fgisandiego@yahoo.com. Our famous Trend Report will once again be held at the Neiman Marcus Zodiac restaurant on the evening of December 5th. We will be hearing the latest trends to hit the runways of the Spring/ Summer 2013 Fashion Week and focusing on every woman’s favorite thing...SHOES! Our Holiday Party will once again be hosted by Board Member, Lena Evans on December 19th. We are eagerly awaiting the gourmet treats served up by Chef Drew. RSVP for this event ahead of time as it’s pre-pay only. Looking forward to celebrating the holidays with fellow fashionistas. And here’s a sneak peak at next fall...the FGI Night of Stars will be coming back to San Diego! This ultra-chic, red carpet event will be featuring a special celebrity designer. We are going to begin compiling a committee soon, so if you are interested in helping to plan this high-profile event, email us at fgisandiego@yahoo.com. In closing, lets all raise our glasses, here’s to some fab fall events and to the hope that fall finds us soon…

_xààxÜ yÜÉÅ Xw|àÉÜ Well howdy there all my fashion peeps! I don’t know about the rest of you, but October FLEW by! Whew!!! I’ve gone two whole weeks without a single day off! Really looking forward to Veteran’s Day as it will be my first day to truly relax and recuperate from such a busy month. I’m thinking some comfy (but fashionable!) lounge pants, a cozy chair (if it’s cool), or a lounge chair in my backyard (in the more realistic San Diego weather) and my much neglected fashion magazines. Add a cocktail and I’ll be in heaven! The middle part of November is usually a lull for me, the quiet before the storm that is the holiday season. This year I fully intend to enjoy this lull, especially with all of the great FGI and other fashion events going on this month. As an FGI member, I will definitely be at the Members Only Neiman Marcus event on the 14th and the Grand Opening of the newly remodeled Westfield mall has me giddy in my tall boots (even on the hot days, I’m wearing them! It’s supposed to be fall, after all!). So, enjoying the lull that’s headed my way and preparing for the holiday frenzy to come!

Have a fashionabulous month!!! Until next time...

jxáày|xÄw fàçÄx gÉâÜá exvtÑ This last month, Westfield Plaza Bonita was the home to everything stylish and fashionable! Westfield malls and real-woman stylist Stacy London came to town to bring a little fashion education here in San Diego. While this event was not an FGI San Diego event, there were many FGI members participating in it. FGI San Diego’s own Public Relations Chair Vanessa Diaz was part of the producing team for this fashionabulous event. Guests were given the total VIP treatment with amazing swag bags while they drank Diet Coke in the uber-chic black leather lounge area. Next stop for the soon-to-be fashionistas was a trip to the Beauty Bar where FGI San Diego Communications Chair Jeanette Crutchfield was one of the make-up artists on hand to spruce up the clients’ beauty look while providing some beauty education as well. Then it was on to see the stylist! With Jennifer Rosson (also an FGI member!) as part of the styling team, guests got lessons on how best to dress their figures, personalities and lifestyles all on their budget. Women of all ages walked out of the event feeling absolutely gorgeous and much more sure about their fashion skills. And to top off the entire extravaganza...Stacy London made a personal appearance/meet-and-greet with all of her adoring fans including FGI San Diego Regional Director Julie Fought, Vanessa Diaz and Jeanette Crutchfield! It was truly a fashionable time for all!
