Horwich & Blackrod Community
Events CIC is a not-for-profit, purposedriven local organiser of FREE community events, established to build connections and foster civic pride through lively public events in the area – celebrating what we have to offer individually, and collectively.
We are heavily involved in every stage of event delivery – from sponsorship outreach and planning to on-theground logistics and community engagement.
Each of our events draws between 4,000 and 8,000 visitors – and that number continues to grow year on year. These gatherings bring our communities closer together, attracting not only residents of Horwich and Blackrod, but also visitors from across the wider region.

The team behind Horwich & Blackrod Community Events CIC brings over a decade of experience in delivering highquality, inclusive community events –both individually and collaboratively.
Most recently, one of our flagship events ‘Horwich ROX’ was hailed as the most successful event Horwich has ever seen, drawing more than 8,000 visitors from around the region to the town centre. A vibrant music festival was created in the heart of Horwich, transforming it into a buzzing celebration of live entertainment, local talent, family fun, and community spirit.
As day turned to night, Horwich ROX came alive in 14 pubs and bar venues with eclectic mix of bands and performers, creating a festival atmosphere that appealed to all.

Hosting large-scale, inclusive community events requires funding –and until now, we’ve relied on goodwill, creativity, and a lot of resourcefulness to make it happen. We’ve stretched every pound to deliver maximum value, but to continue growing and improving these events, we need sustainable financial support.

We’re inviting you to invest in us, so we can continue investing in our community.
As a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC), every penny goes directly into the events – not salaries or overheads. Our entire team is made up of professional, passionate volunteers, committed to making Horwich and Blackrod better connected, more vibrant places to live, work, and visit.
We work hard to ensure exceptional value for every contribution, negotiating the best deals and making every pound go further.
