Singapore Company Registration Services By Rikvin Rikvin is a one-stop service center at the heart of Singapore. It specializes in professional and business needs particularly in company incorporation. Foreign businesses continue to swarm to Singapore to do business. “A locally incorporated company such as a private limited company and a subsidiary office enjoy lower tax rates under the new tax exemption scheme beginning YA 2011,” quips Rikvin. “While the first S$100,000 revenues are tax-free, the next S$200,000 profits shall be taxed by 6.8%, a 1.7% difference from the current YA scheme. The subsequent S$194,118 revenues will be taxed by 13.6% from the current 17%,” Rikvin adds. Meanwhile, all other companies that are not qualified for the tax exemption scheme will still enjoy the tax incentives with even lower tax rates for YA2011 than the current YA rates. Rikvin continues: “The first S$10,000 will have 3.04% from the current 4.25%, while the 8.50% will be lowered to 6.8%, and the 17% will be reduced to 13.6%.” Foreign companies and investors must hire a professional company to assist them in their business registration needs. This is because the laws in Singapore prescribe that only those who are in possession of a Singapore Personal Access or NRIC have the eligibility to make legal transactions in the city-state. “Both the private limited company and the subsidiary company shall have their respective resident director, at least one shareholder, and a company secretary,” the consultant utters. A subsidiary company shall be owned or popularly owned by a parent company whether foreign or local. The resident director, deemed to possess executive corporate powers can be occupied by a foreign national by virtue of a work visa such as an Employment pass or Entrepreneur pass. However, upon registration, the law must be obeyed. “A resident director ought to be of ordinary residence. And while a work visa entitles a foreign national to earn such title, only registered companies can apply for work visas,” explains Rikvin. To proceed with the registration, Rikvin offers its nominee director service. After the company has successfully incorporated, it may now apply for a work visa for its foreign employees. Besides a nominee director, Rikvin provides a nominee shareholder for any investor or shareholder seeking for anonymity. “The nominee shareholder shall keep the stocks in trust and which are protected by a notarized Memorandum of Agreement,” beams Rikvin. Being a prestigious provider of professional and business services, other specializations of Rikvin include corporate secretaryship, virtual office, web hosting, accounting, and assistance in compliance requirements especially in obtaining business licenses and in annual filing obligations.
