Kristina Shatikova (1975-2012) was a Belarusian political and human rights activist who worked with the Belarusian Civic Campaign “Nash Dom”. She supported Belarusian political prisoners and participated in various public actions. She died of cancer at the age of 37. Some of her activist and political struggles are reflected in a documentary film entitled “Ryzhaya (The Redhead)” (www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqVdu6w6Y6E) Jennifer Wilson is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures at Princeton University, and a Graduate Certificate student in the Program in Gender and Sexuality Studies also at Princeton University. Her areas of research are nineteenth-century Russian literature, queer theory and Feminism. In 2010, she coordinated “Undoing Eros” a graduate student conference at Princeton University on gender and sexuality in Russian culture. She has taught at the NOISE (Network of Interdisciplinary Women’s Studies in Europe) Summer School in Feminist Theory at the University of Utrecht.
