I ♥ Peterborough

Friday 5th October Ticket: £12

Age guidance: 13+

6.30 pm

Hunt Theatre

The show involves a chaotic cabaret act fronted by Lulu, a big bloke with a thirty-something son, six-inch heels, a dodgy wig and a riveting story to tell. The father and son double-act are Peterborough born and bred. Both were brought up in this overlooked city best known for its brickworks, railway station and passport office. In seventy minutes the family’s lives are laid bare whilst, in the background, the sounds of the 1980s underscore the family history. “A darkly comic story of growing up gay” – THE TIMES “Genuine comic flair” – EVENING STANDARD “As sharp as a pin…exhilarating dialogue” – THE INDEPENDENT
