The studio proposal was selected as one of six finalists in the Guggenheim Helsinki Competition, which received over 1,715 submissions from across 77 nations. Five timber towers huddle together at Helsinki harbour, offering remarkable views from its lookouts while welcoming visitors into the city. Challenging the boundaries of wood construction, the project takes a sustainable approach that belongs to the landscape. Helsinki Five rethinks the conventional museum space by strengthening the vertical dimension, engaging discovery and generating new connections; it is a play of hide and seek, light and dark, in and out.

Revitalisierung LÖRICK-KARREE Düsseldorf

haascookzemmrich STUDIO2050 have won the competition for the revitalization of the Lörick Karree in Dusseldorf. The combination of various retail units, a community office, a doctor’s surgery and housing for the elderly provide the city district of Lörick with a vibrant heart. A new public square provides a home to the local vegetable market. The distinctive typology of the two buildings contributes toward the identity of the new Lörick Karree.

BRĂœCKENSCHLAG LEONBERG STUDY Leonberg, Germany This study was done with SCHLEICH BERGERMANN UND PARTNER a German engineering company. We had to find an appropriate approach how to span a bridge between old part of the town with the new developed housing projects. The idea was to divide the bridge to bring it into a smaller scale and to introduce some attraction points on the bridge.

MY PART I worked on the concept and design of the bridge and the two buildings in closer cooperation with Schleich Bergermann und Partner.
