Project -family house, ( Me) Museum of Contemporary Art , ( Rc) Survey of architecture, Palazzata Messina Giuseppe Samona Eco- Compatible Redevelopment of the district of Ciro Marina, (Kr ) “Strategic Landascape - Battlefields”. Redevelopment of the Queens. Competition of ideas , Reggio Calabria center ( Art ) of the Mediterranean Diocese of Monreale , Cinisi Parish church and complex Re- Cycle Italy “Superelevata- Foot [Prints]”


PROJECT -FAMILY HOUSE,(ME) The lot of the steep cliff meant that the design of this residence has first had to deal with the constraint of the slope , also used as an opportunity to visually embrace the surrounding landscape. The location of the house is derived from a careful analysis of the context , taking into account the different levels of the ground and the optimum orientation for both the light to ensure a high degree of privacy. The house is on two main areas , the first of which accompanies the slope, so as to create the plan on which the building stands , the second axis determines the visual sequences . The volumes dominate the landscape , interconnected by a cross body and surrounded by terraces protected . The terrace of the first floor is modulated to create the distribution of the interior spaces below. The openings in the facade control daylight and characterize the design of the facades animating with contrasting shadows, to make intimate spaces and allow at the same time to observe the scenery unhindered .


MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART ,( RC) The project of the Museum of Contemporary Art is a dialogue with the context, juxtaposing its dynamic form to the property where you enter . The surface of the park , it becomes an urban landscape and the projection of the artistic career , turns into a garden with which to establish an abstract continuity . The park is a public space that is offered , not only to visitors of the museum, but also to the neighborhood and the entire city of Reggio Calabria. The shape derives from a sequence of rotations of the same volume , in contrast with the secondary elements of the museum. The main volumes of the rotation are the full volume of the building, the void volume indicated with glass elements and the structure of the museum. Even the temporary exhibition hall , with its dynamic nature , made up of paths and flows is like a landscape. The museum is a space, in constant motion , both the public and private area represent an opposition to stability, so the spaces surrounding the exhibition areas are perceived as neutral .


SURVEY OF ARCHITECTURE, PALAZZATA MESSINA G. SAMONA’ Relief geometric and architectural , graphic rendering . The project involved the construction of a series of thirteen buildings , stylistically homogeneous , between the Via S. Martino and Via S. Young of Malta in a neoclassical style . The reconstruction of Palazzata was never completed, and were used only the first two buildings with its intermediate port . The broken frame that lightens the crown , together with the rectangles that enclose the openings on two levels , the monolith anchored to the ground with massive pillars . The long sides of the building are modeled by projecting sills and window frames. The horizontal and vertical scanning of the structure rather than lead to a breakdown of cellular fronts in a series of blanks more or less well formatted , is the basic element of reunification. In 1952 , Giuseppe Samona is called in Messina as a consultant for the facades of Palazzata . The intervention, a result stronger than the assumptions, has the advantage of giving the work a figurative difficult to achieve continuity in a job well articulated and long lasting.


ECO- COMPATIBLE The project’s Micro Architecture Eco-Compat (ON) ible seeking to relate the subject with nature and space, starting from a single cell (3mx3m) with specific use consisting Services, Bar, InfoPoint and BookShop, for a total net area of 36 sq m; interconnected by means of the ramps thus giving rise to a more complex organism. The objective is to design a building totally isolated from traditional networks within which they operate a set of technologies organized to produce and meet in autonomy its energy loads as regards electric energy, heat, and in this case is intended to be the heat and cold, even independently managing the water cycle.


REDEVELOPMENT OF THE DISTRICT OF CIRO MARINA, (KR ) The choice of the scope of intervention identified in the district Artino of Ciro Marina , presents a thoughtful and strategic approach to study the role that the neighborhood itself has in the local context . The ‘ area is characterized by a dense population and building density , by broad stradeattualmente misused by a mesh disorganized and devoid of logic , which is a widespread homelessness , high vehicular traffic and environmental degradation . Excessive building space so as not to safe areas and green spaces well organized. Completely absent interest in the areas of transit or pedestrian path. Inconvenience resulting from the lack of sidewalks, road paving and proper lighting. To remedy these inconveniences was expected to thorough redevelopment of the area : Abolished the car traffic within the neighborhood by placing the main entrances to parking areas to view locations and paths ; insert two lines for electric buses : the first surrounds the perimeter of the city and the second branching within the neighborhood by connecting the primary infrastructure works and public buildings (municipal, post office building , banks, police barracks , ASL) .


LANDSCAPES STRATEGIC BATTLEFIELDS The project was developed based on a concept that fits the area of the Veneto region after the First World War , trying to interpret the landscapes that have experienced those moments through the Piave . The countries selected as case studies were grouped by type of intervention area , developing the idea of the hilly area the “ Montello “ as sentinel and starting point of the concept. The location and the choice of approach for this site have been determined by a thorough analysis of the context , we developed the idea of a “Museum of the Piave and the War ,” a building about a mile underground , with the warheads aimed respectively to the landscape of the Piave and the neighborhood of the war, the linear structure intercepts the landscape of sinkholes , which will serve to identify the main entrances and to provide natural light inside the museum , the interior spaces are integrated along the longitudinal axis , dynamic spaces that allow the visitor a perception is always different, also satisfied the exhibition were divided into thematic sections : - Trench / infrastructure - weapons and devices - topographic maps and charts strategic military journalism and propaganda - military means; . The museum is an opportunity for urban intensification and to reconstruct the history .


REDEVELOPMENT OF THE QUEENS.

Second Queens-Horizontal Skyscraper

The project Second Queens-Horizontal Skyscraper offers an image of the city between utopia and the new era, when the logic of production and distribution of energy will have a significant impact on the spatial organization of urban growth, followed by a high level of congestion and a crisis of urban overpopulation. The new expansion adapts to existing track and determines a new one, independent from the first, overlooking the infinity built like a lying skyscraper. In this way, it eliminates the constant fragmentation typical of traditional urban morphology: the city becomes a continous residential structure, without voids. The great planes fitted are organized according to a regular grid, which determines the large voids and the elements of vertical lifts, creating thereby new forms of social aggregation. L 'HS explores the morphology of the city through three scales: redefine the city limits, the urban cluster and framework infrastructure. A mega-porous structure, is served by a new urban transport system which integrates public spaces, roof gardens, pedestrian walks, / functions residential commercial / office, energy storage / water. An example of what the city of the future aims to become.


COMPETITION OF IDEAS , REGGIO CALABRIA CENTER ( ART ) OF THE MEDITERRANEAN The title of our idea “ Reggio Calabria center ( art ) of the Mediterranean� does indicate our intent to summarize the ideas that will bring the story of Reggio Calabria in the center of the Mediterranean, in order to restore the role of the colony among the most important of Greeks, and to enhance the geographical location of the city at the center of the Mediterranean Sea, but at the same time unite art and cities and not allow the two to develop independently of each other . Create a new relationship between the city museum , protecting , enhancing , publicizing the beauties and riches of Reggio Calabria , attracting tourists and citizenship. The proposed objectives of the project are as follows: Expand and improve access to the city . Allowing maximum mobility and accessibility between the city , within the city and in cultural centers in Reggio Calabria. Encourage the creation of stable scratch, renovation of disused stable and modernization of existing buildings to accommodate the influx of new tourists . Promote a new image of Reggio Calabria.Make the heart of the city museum , as a means of meeting and social gathering. Increase collaboration between the city, the museum and the city .


COMPETITION -DIOCESE OF MONREALE , CINISI PARISH CHURCH AND COMPLEX The church will be in line with the new road that will connect the town of Cinisi with the new parish Ecce Homo. The new church Ecce Homo will be oriented to the east, both to meet the needs symbolic both for the wonderful view. The church “emerges” from the parish. The churchyard will open towards the town of Cinisi to carry out the functions symbolic and functional. Classrooms catechesiche act as filters visually and audibly, between the churchyard and parking.


RE- CYCLE ITALY -“SUPERELEVATA- FOOT [PRINTS]” Starting from the same concept of “installation” shall say that gender is a complex, which contradicts the division between spatial and temporal arts: spatial art and is simultaneous, since it is the product of the composition of a space, but it is also time, since this space is to be understood also as a situation, which act temporale.Il project developed trying to obtain the maximum integration of different parts provided with the introduction of the minimum number of elements, recycled, which allows to make them consistent and which is present as offer complementary and respectful, that privileges its public dimension, and the environmental representative. For this reason the project essentially uses two elements, one composition and the other constructive, with the introduction of triangular geometry and the addition of some compositional references already in the project guide (as the base plectrum). From this explanation we will see that the size of the entire installation will be underlined by the presence of ‘sails’ and ‘networks’, homogenizing the different uses and equipping the complex geometry of a strong identity, but leaving everyone the chance to give a contextual reading or abstract of this system that first of all, try to achieve a balance between the degree of simplicity and complexity - maximum geometric simplicity, material and construction, most complex plastic and perceptive, with public responsibility for the participation and sharing of spaces.
