Annual Featherston Expo here to stay!
The second Featherston Expo on 29 September at the Anzac Hall was a great success. I had the idea for this a couple of years ago, and for the second year running Indigo Freya has come up with great ideas and worked really hard to make it happen. She’s had a little help from me and a wonderful group of volunteers.
Seventy-five Featherston clubs, interest groups and businesses set up stalls in Anzac and Kiwi Halls from 1pm to 5pm. Free tea, coffee and biscuits were provided throughout the afternoon, thanks to donations from local charities Featherston’s Own and The Lions Club of Featherston.
The fabulous Featherston Wāhine Singers and Rupert Watson on clarinet provided entertainment while onlookers supped. This is an annual event held at around the same time every year.
Contact Indigo or Kate with expressions of interest, questions, suggestions or if you would like to assist. Email firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks so much to all the stall holders, supporters, volunteers and visitors.
