Polesden Lacey House, gardens and countryside

Find a place... you can enjoy together.

“Lovely house, beautiful gardens, friendly people!” Surrounded by breathtaking views of the Surrey Hills, Polesden Lacey, only 4 miles from Dorking and junction 9 of the M25, is the perfect place for relaxing with friends and family.

Explore again and again As a National Trust member, you’ll be able to enjoy 500 special places as often as you like. What’s more,

your membership will be helping us to protect Polesden Lacey and other special places for future generations to enjoy.

To join, simply speak to one of our team during your visit, call 0844 800 1895 or visit our website www.nationaltrust.org.uk

The perfect setting ‘This is a delicious house...’ remarked Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother on her honeymoon at Polesden Lacey. This country retreat was designed by Edwardian hostess Mrs Greville as the ideal place for entertaining and relaxing. Explore the gardens with climbing roses which are at their best in June, and one of the longest herbaceous borders in the country. Free garden tours run daily.

Enjoy a walk through the surrounding countryside or try a spot of geocaching. The house is open daily, from 11am, although entry on weekday mornings is limited

to guided tours. Marvel at the glittering golden Saloon, designed to impress kings and maharajahs, or the extensive art collection including Dutch old masters and sparkling Fabergé. A new display in Mrs Greville’s private apartment opened this spring. We serve a variety of fresh, homemade food and our shop, one of the largest in the National Trust, sells a wide range of gifts, home accessories and more.

We look forward to welcoming you soon.
