This Year at Promotion Sunday, J.J challenged our students to “Do Something,” this school year. After having a great See You At The Pole, you hopefully now have more opportunities to get involved in Campus Ministry and open up to others about your faith. We are praying that students would take advantage of the relationships that God has given them and use them to lead people to Christ and glorify God. Parents, we ask that you would continue to pray that your child would make and impact on their schools. Students, we ask that you would continue to pray and ask who God has placed in your life so that you could glorify God through that relationship.

Current Mission Projects During the month of October we are holding a food drive for local families in need. These donations can be dropped off in the Studio during the month of October. We are also holding a toy drive during the month of November. We would like students to bring unwrapped toys to the studio or mailing $5 gift cards from either WalMart or Toys R Us to the church office (C/O Student Ministry Toy Drive). Both of these projects are great opportunities to help others in need this holiday season.

See You At The Pole The Student Ministry had a successful night at the See You At The Pole rally. Over 300 students gathered in the Studio to praise God for an awesome day of prayer. Many students came with stories of how God moved on their cam-

puses and how doors were opened for future campus ministry opportunities. Please pray that God would move in these students lives and they would have the strength to keep the momentum of the success of See You At The Pole.

Winter Retreat The theme for the High School Retreat this year is “Thy Kingdom Come from December 29-31 at Pineywoods camp. The retreat will be led by Jared Perry with The Chris Crump Band leading worship. The cost of the retreat is

$85 and the deadline to sign up is December 11th. The cost to sign up after the deadline is $95. This will be an awesome opportunity to get alone with God in the middle of a busy school year.

Student of the Month: Logan Shanklin The student of the month is Logan Shanklin. Logan is a 7th grader at Fairmont Junior High. On campus, Logan is involved in VolleyTHE

Won By One Our Won by One Ministry began on promotion Sunday as each student began to pick up their cards to find their prayer mentor. It has been a huge success so far with many students worshipping with their prayer mentor on the first Sunday in October. However, many students still have not found a prayer mentor to invest in their lives. If you do not already have a student to pray for

and would like to become a prayer mentor please contact Lisa Nickelson at 281-991-1232. Also if you are a student and have not yet taken your picture for a Won by One card, those will be available at the Student Welcome Desk on Sunday mornings. Any student who has taken their picture and have not picked up their card can also do so at the Welome Desk on Sunday mornings

Fall Retreat The Fall Retreat for our Junior High students will be on November 11-12 at Piney Woods Baptist Camp. The cost of the retreat is $45 and the theme is

“My Story as we begin to form our testimonies and look at what our own story with God is.

Junior High Parent Meeting On Sunday October 30th, there will be a Junior High parent meeting for Student Life Camp at 5:30 P.M in the West Commons. All parents whose child

plans to attend Student Life Camp in Ruston, Louisiana on June 25-29, 2012 will need to be at this meeting. We hope you can come.
