Won by One Ministry EXCITING NEWS! The College Ministry and the graduating class of 2012 are going to Puerto Rico July 7-14, 2012 on a mission trip! We will be serving and staying at the First Baptist Church of Arecibo there on the island and will be doing everything from Construction, Sports Camps, Church Plants, Humanitarian Aid to Children of drug addicts, and Teaching/ Ministering at a Music School. So, you can see that we need all types of individuals to go with us to help in all the different areas. That means you! We will be traveling with Mobilizing Students, Inc. (mobilizingstudents.com) who has been planning and leading these trips for many years. They will be with us on our trip providing us with translators and leading us in each of our projects. Chris White is the owner and founder of the company, and he has taken large groups from great churches like Prestonwood in Plano, Tx., Longhollow Baptist Church in Hendersonville, Tn., and many others. We are so excited to be partnering with them. This means that we have to act quickly to secure all spots. We are having an informational meeting on Sunday, August 7, at 5:00 in the Studio to begin the 9 month preparation process. At this meeting we will lay out the time table for the next year along with a payment plan and ideas on how to raise funds for missionary work. We will also look at the general trip information (spending money, luggage, clothing, meals, etc.)to further help with questions. In order to secure a spot on this trip we MUST have a $200.00 non refundable deposit on August 7. The total cost of the trip will be $725 per person + airfare (airfare will be determined with a group price after we have secured the spots with the $200 deposit that you will give on August 7). We have been told to plan anywhere from $1,200.00-$1,500.00 for total cost. This trip will be a valuable spiritual experience, and I am so glad that I will get to be a part of it with you. If you have any questions about the trip that you would like to ask before the meeting on August 7, please do not hesitate to contact me at 281-414-6001 or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. I will be happy to answer any question or concern you may have. Sincerely, J.J Cox Minister to Students and College
Parent Meeting There is so much going on in the student ministry right now! So much, in fact that on August 14th, we are holding a parent meeting so that we can give you the big picture of the upcoming year so that you can know how to plan and where you can plug in. The meeting will start at 5:15 pm in the studio and we will discuss all that is going on in the coming year, what the costs will be, your role in helping the student ministry in being successful, and answering all your questions. We will finish no later than 6:15 so that we can go worship together in the evening service.
Student Outreach Team Starting next fall, there will be a Student Outreach team that meets during the normal A.M.P time for students to visit and call visitors who came on the same Sunday morning. The outreach team will
consist of one boy and one girl from each grade and will be on a normal rotation to go visit students. Applications will only be available during A.M.P and will be due to the mailbox by Sunday,
June 12th. If you have anymore questions about the student outreach team please contact Jonathan Beames at 281991-1232 or email@example.com.

Attention Upcoming 6th Graders and Parents Calling all incoming 6th graders! Now that summer is here, you are only a couple of months from moving into Junior High and the Student Ministry. It is going to be time of building relationships and spiritual growth and we are so excited to get started! The first official event of your
Junior High experience will be the Pack Six Lock-In on August 12th here at the church. We begin the night with a parent and student orientation meeting at 9pm in the Studio (D-Wing upstairs). Both incoming 6th graders and parents will meet the Student Ministry Team as we walk you through the many events and ministry opportuni-
ties we have. The meeting should end by 10pm when parents go home and students stay with us until 6:30am the next day! This is a great time for us to meet you and begin a relationship that will enable you as parents and us as a ministry team to work together to meet the spiritual needs of our students. For more information and to sign-up, please go to www.fbp.org/PackSix2011.
Camp Zephyr Parent meeting With camp approaching fast, there will be a parent meeting on Sunday, July 10th starting at 5:00 P.M in the Studio. It is vital that you attend this meeting if your child
is attending camp so that you can be sure all the needed forms are filled out and so you can know the schedule for the week.
