FBC WILLIAMS CEMETERY: The Trustees of The Cemetery of The First Baptist Church of Williams met on Sunday, March 13, 2016. During this meeting a vote was taken to increase the cost of burial plots in two phases. The first phase will increase the plots from $500 to $650. This increase will become effective on Sept 1, 2016. Phase two of the increase will become effective on January 1, 2017 in which the plots will increase from $650 to $800. Anyone wishing to purchase burial plots at the current cost should do so before September. For more information please contact the church office. LIMITED ACCESS TO BUILDING: Please note that this week there will be limited access to the church hallways and foyers due to stripping and waxing of downstairs floors. PLEASE DO NOT ENTER BUILDING before calling Mike Duncan at 256-454-2278 for information on which entrance to use.

ALSO, immediately following this morning’s service we need all youth guys and men of the church (that are able) to assist in moving bookcases out of the daycare rooms.

DONATIONS FOR DAYCARE: The Daycare is now accepting monetary donations for new playground equipment. If you would like to make a donation please make check payable to: First Baptist Church of Williams Daycare. DO NOT include these funds with your church offering.

VBS DONATIONS NEEDED: There are some items needed for Vacation Bible School scheduled for week of July 18th -22nd. These items are located on a tri-fold board located in the front church foyer. Please as you are leaving today pull a tab from the board with a needed item listed and help us by purchasing the item. Bring your donated items to the church office no later than Wednesday, July 13th. SAFETY COMMITTEE MEETING: The Safety Committee will meet next Sunday, July 10th at 6pm in the Doug Ponder Sunday school classroom. All members are encouraged to attend the meeting.

FLAMINGO INFESTATION: The infestation of flamingos is ongoing. If you did not buy insurance and these birds appear in your yard, the Crusaders will remove them for a fee of $20. If your yard is infested, you can pick the next victim for an extra $5. All proceeds go to the Crusaders Fun Fund. DONATIONS NEEDED: Pleasant Valley Elementary School will be hosting the 1st Annual Back to School Free Yard Sale at the end of July. They need donations of gently used clothing items, shoes, new socks, new undergarments, book-bags and school supplies. If you would like to donate to this yard sale, you may bring your donations to the church or take them directly to the school. Donations will be accepted through July 14th. Please check each item to be sure they are not stained or torn before donating. For more information you may call the school at 256-741-6800. J.C.O.C. BACK TO SCHOOL PROGRAM: It’s time to start collecting supplies for the Back-to-School Program. You may take your donations directly to JCOC located behind McDonalds in Jacksonville or bring them to the church and they will be delivered to JCOC.
