Thank You, Celebrate Sponsors! Dear Lopez Families, I am pleased to announce that Angelica Saggers has been chosen by the Daytona Beach News-Journal as the Medallion of Excellence winner for Father Lopez Catholic High School. Each year the News-Journal honors high school seniors who exemplify academic achievement, service and character. Please join me in congratulating Angelica on this special honor. We are excited to see her accept the Medallion of Excellence on April 10th at the Daytona 500 Club. Celebrate, our annual fundraiser is almost here. As we approach the big day, I want to pause and acknowledge our generous sponsors who support our work year after year. The sponsors listed to the right have committed their support to this year and past years. The generosity of our sponsors make so many aspects of Lopez possible. They help support teaching and learning, athletic programs, and extra curriculars, like clubs, retreats and mission trips. If you have a business, please considering joining our sponsors in support of this year’s Celebrate. Today I had the opportunity to participate in mock job interviews with some of our freshmen. Every administrator that participated today was impressed by our students. They were prepared and poised and dressed to impress. It was a great reminder of the caliber of our students. Today was an exercise which included hypothetical jobs, but I sincerely hope I have the honor of interviewing some of our students in the future for real positions. Lastly, please pray for our students and teachers who are coming home tomorrow from the Dominican Republic. May God bless them with fair weather and safe travel. We can’t wait to hear about, and see more pictures from their adventure.
