Hope Amira loved listening to her Mama's stories...it -rf- made her mind escape to everywhere, blocking out every sound around her except for her mother's soft, silky voice whispering in her ear.

Amira giggled. She loves the stories her Mama tells her, especially to keep her mind off the war. All of a sudden...

Boom!! Outside, Amira could hear people screaming, and most of all, her little sister, Maia. Amira runs to the door. The time had come, the time that Amira had feared forever. Bombing... The smoke smellwas strong, rocks and rubble filled the streets, people were in tears and Amira's neighbours were running for cover. There were people lying on the ground and children everywhere, some stray and alone, some hugging their parents tight. A scared feeling bubbled up inside Amira, her whole body trembling and her hands $weating. Her ears were ringing from the bomb that had struck the town. Maia was cryihg, and Mama's face looked scared and worried. "Amira, Maia, quick, let's go-" More bombs were soaring down, some splashing in the water, others smashing everything in its path; houses, cars and even people. As Amira, Maia and Mama were running, they could see troops of soldiers marching through the remains of the town. Amira had seen them before, although, this was the first time she'd experienced the bombs. Big, loud and tenifoing. Maia continued crying, but the sound was nothing compared to the loud noises of the war. Amira kept running and followed the familiar safety route to the abandoned warehouse. She opened the rusff door and exclaimed as soon as she stepped in.

"WOW....look!l!
