PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS Farmington Country Club’s internship programs offer exceptionally rewarding opportunities for hospitality management and culinary arts students interested in pursuing careers in club management.

TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES Interns learn all aspects of day-to-day operations of the various departments within a private club as well as the methods and procedures by which the departments and divisions are managed. Interns also gain an overview of the private club organization and develop insight into how departments relate to each other. Throughout the training experience, interns closely train with managers to learn effective industry practices. Additionally, interns have the opportunity to participate in staff meetings and training programs, and to attend trade shows and conferences.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS TRAINING EVALUATION At the conclusion of the training program, interns, together with the supervising manager, review and evaluate the internship experience and its applicability to the internsâ€™ future career goals. Interns participate in the Club performance review process, which includes meeting with the supervising manager to discuss performance during the training period and to identify areas to focus on for continued professional development. HOUSING The Club provides fully-furnished apartments to interns on a spaceavailable basis, which are shared with other interns of the same sex.
ABOUT FARMINGTON Farmington Country Club is a memberowned private club founded in 1927. The Clubhouse includes 40 overnight guest rooms with magnificent grounds that are maintained by a large staff of dedicated groundskeepers. Food and beverage facilities include two a la carte dining rooms, each with its own kitchen, seating 300; four private dining rooms seating 180; a ballroom that accommodates 250; and two seasonal snack bars and food truck. Athletic facilities include 28 holes of golf; 15 outdoor tennis courts, three indoor tennis courts and three paddle tennis courts; an Olympic-size swimming pool; and a fitness center.
