Mobile Plant Mechanic / Fitter
NPH is a multi-depot independent Plant Hire Group and currently has a vacancy for a Mobile Plant Mechanic / Fitter at their Kings Lynn Depot. Reporting directly to the Workshop Foreman you will be required to diagnose faults, repair, service and prepare for hire our full range of Plant, Tools and Equipment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Experience with diesel / petrol engines, hydraulic machinery and electrics. • Ensure job sheets, pre hire sheets and all associated paperwork are completed promptly and efficiently. • Ensure Health & Safety and Company procedures are met at all times. • Be reactive and punctual at all times. • Have the ability to work on own initiative and also as part of a team.
EXPERIENCE • CITB/NVQ qualification preferred but not essential. • Previous Plant/Tool Hire experience is essential • Full UK driving licence Hours of work will be Basic 45 hours Monday to Friday but overtime may be required to meet business demands.

Workshop Foreman / Fitter
Locations: Cambridge and Kings Lynn NPH is a multi-depot independent Plant Hire Group and currently has two vacancies for Plant Hire Workshop Foreman / Fitter, based at their Cambridge & Kings Lynn Depots.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • To prioritise and maximise the availability of plant for hire. Working within budgets, the Foreman will allocate and monitor workload of workshop staff, coach and develop staff and ensure health and safety of all employees within the depot meet the highest standards.

• The foreman will ensure that all company plant is serviced and maintained in accordance with manufacturers and company guidelines and that complete and accurate records are kept of all servicing and repairs carried out. • To source and purchase spare parts economically and within time frames to maximise fleet availability. • The foreman will also review and establish the training needs of all workshop personnel in conjunction with the depot manager, providing one to one coaching where appropriate or alternatively recommend for external training courses.
EXPERIENCE • The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified hands on plant mechanic and will have supervisory experience gained preferably within the Hire or Construction industry. Hours of work will be based on a 45 hours per week Monday to Friday however, overtime may be required to meet busy demands. Company vehicle will be supplied.
