New-gen tractors extend brand’s appeal It’s not uncommon for farmers to run a succession of Landini tractors, such is their satisfaction. But the marque is also attracting a new wave of owners, thanks to its hallmarks of reliability and durability. While its 43—113hp models have long been popular with livestock farmers, the product line has now moved into higher power categories – currently up to 212hp – with some very attractive machines, says Landini. So, while until recently the simple 90—100hp Powerfarm epitomised the Landini range, a major product development programme has now yielded a new generation of tractors right across the range. This offers a choice of specification levels at the upper end of the performance scale, with the

most sophisticated electronics and transmissions that arable growers and contractors could ever need. All feature more efficient transmissions, including auto-shift 40kph Eco and 50kph powershift and CVT options on larger models, plus more economical high-performance engines with efficient emissions control. From 111hp upward, the latest Landini tractors are available to a mechanical specification for those who don’t want all the ‘bells and whistles’, or with modern electronic and other features for those who do. On top-spec models, integrated auto-steering and Isobus implement control can be added to such features as axle and cab suspension, timing-adjustable spool valves, seat-mounted fingertip controls and touchscreen set-up for the hydraulics, headland management, transmission and other systems. The range is also supported by knowledgeable independent dealers who put customer service at the top of their priority lists, Landini adds. Stand 426.

Magic muck solutions Tramspread, the slurry and digestate-handling specialist, is set to exhibit its new fast-tow enginedriven pump unit on stand 938. With an auto-reverse overrun ball hitch, the fully-galvanised chassis is mounted on twin-braked high-speed axles, allowing the unit to be towed comfortably behind a 4x4 vehicle. The Bauer SX2000 slurry pump is powered by a 170hp engine and controlled via a top-spec SIL Vision IV remote control, available exclusively through Tramspread, giving unparalleled information and control via the large colour display. Also on show will be the Reck slatted floor mixer. With this machine, a single operator can stir slurry channels without needing to move animals or slats. Tramspread will also exhibit the Albers Alligator nurse bag. This simple high-capacity tank is used in conjunction with a reeler, which can be either linkage/fork tinemounted or, as a slow-tow version, mounted on a twin-axle chassis. Once reeled out onto smooth level ground, the nurse bag can

be filled by tanker using the two standard 6in inlet/outlets while liquid is simultaneously pumped out for spreading. The large capacities minimise downtime in the field, with up to 350m3 available to be pumped, compared to the typical 40—60m3 of a conventional steel nurse tank. When a block of land has been spread, the nurse bag is wound back onto the reeler’s spool, expelling any remaining liquid in the process. It can then be transported to the next site with the minimum of downtime. Multiple nurse bags can be served by a single reeler. Tramspread is also offering a “warm brew” to visitors to its stand.
