Manufacturer offers a good deal more While the popular Tenor and Elyte sprayer ranges from Berthoud are both well established, continuous product development keeps them up to date with the latest technology and environmental standards. They are also the subject of “seriously good” deals for a limited period. The award-winning trailed Tenor was developed to minimise environmental impact, designed from the ground up, starting with suspension and a distinctive easyrinse tank shape, and finishing with useful storage compartments. The tank’s curved lines and diamond-shaped base minimise liquid surge on slopes, aiding stability and ensuring a comfortable ride. An Omega bi-turbine pump assists fast filling up to 550-litres/ min and maximum pressures up to 8 bar. All models are supplied with EC Tronic controls, including Berthoud’s exclusive E-Pilot remote control. Tenors are available with 2,800-, 3,500-, 4,300-, 5,500- and 6,700-litre tanks with boom options from 24 –44m.

Berthoud’s latest B3 tri-fold boom features dual-action pendulum-axial-type suspension with anti-yaw technology. The 2-fold Ektar B2 boom is available in widths up to 44m, including a 36m version with a 24m working width capability when folded. Elyte mounted models have a good track record as effective and flexible machines with tank capacities of 1,000, 1,200 and 1,600 litres and a choice of booms from 15–30m. A patented central arm system increases strength and operational flexibility. It also guarantees sure boom ride through its gas accumulator suspension. Elyte’s tanks and equipment are fully integrated into the frame, ensuring maximum compactness. To meet today’s stringent safety and environmental standards, the sprayer features a high level of standard equipment including hand-wash and rinsing tank, retractable chemical hopper, storage compartment, Berlogic operating panel and automatic hitch. as perfect compliance with safety and environmental standards, it also offers outstanding working comfort and user-friendly operation. Precise tank contents measurement is via the easy-to-read rotary-type gauge. Four controllers are available, from basic electric on/off to fullycomputerised EC Tronic. Besides the standard Gama piston pump, there’s the option of a larger piston diaphragm pump for higher working volumes. Both the Tenor and Elyte can be

linked into popular GPS systems for auto-sectional shut-off and guidance, plus variable-rate treatment programmes. Ultrasonic boom height control is also available on all models. Aware of the challenging times faced by contractors and farmers alike, Berthoud distributors are offering deals on Tenor and Elyte sprayers, effectively countering the potential price increase as a result of the falling value of sterling. These “unrepeatable” deals must end in February, the company insists. ■
