Claas dealers in the east and south-east are partnering with Horsch in an agreement which will ensure customer access to the full range of premium products. The agreement including Manns & Kirby, and Claas Southern dealers will allow farmers across East Anglia, Leicestershire, and the south-east to deal with just one sales and service team for tractor, harvester, sprayer, seeding and tillage implement sales and service. Manns and Kirby have six depots covering Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire and Leicestershire and Claas Southern has two branches from which it looks after customers in Kent and Sussex.
Premium products With no competing products in their ranges, the arrangement will work well for both parties. “Customers will have access to our full range of machinery from self-propelled and trailed sprayers to drills and cultivators,” explained Horsch UK general manager Stephen Burcham. “The arrangements we had with previous dealers could
be compromised where there was a conflict with other brands they represented, making it difficult for customers in some areas to obtain some products. Like Claas, our range is seen as premium, used by professional farmers and contractors typical of the Manns & Kirby and Claas Southern areas with many already operating both brands. Better service The exclusivity agreement means no machines are stocked which are deemed a competitor to Horsch products. For the dealer this simplifies stocking of products and parts with just one brand to be considered and Claas UK argues dealer staff can offer better service as sales and service staff training is simplified and can be more thorough. 02R23B
