welcome to farahzinze28. a lot happened in october 2022. it was a long, eventful month. starting with marina, red leaves, fizzy water, then some family time, and the eclipses, and art, and some more family time, and scribbles, and then away from the red leaves and into work mode with an open eye.

october was alright and go go go, so not much time to be confused. many scribbles enclosed in this edition of farahzine.

Marina changed my life in august and bled into my thoughts in september so i visited her in october rushing, lest she drops dead. but she is coming back and i will see her soon. this time maybe in the flesh

early october, i was surrounded by art. it did not feel fully out of reach. it was within my reality. ………..then i kind of forgot about it real life demands (and excitement) meant i had to be in the here and now for longer stretches of time. nothing wrong with that, in and of itself, but in retrospect it felt like: a sleek hairstyle without a bow a long story short a middle eastern dessert without cinnamon on top unadorned flesh: fair skin clear of tattoos these lines, words kept unsophisticated using the word synonym function boring but not prosaic alert without a drop of morning coffee! feeling the lavender haze as a singleton bursting because there’s nowhere else to go but everywhere. unadulterated and unaffected flat, healthy water from a stream beauty devoid of awareness this cliff facing the clearest water i have seen all year “do[esn]'t know [its] beautiful” and before october I may have found myself completing the chorus “that's what makes [it] beautiful” they aren't wrong: rami, savan, carl by way of romanticising the results of mechanized tunes emitted by “a male vocal group” paying tribute to the artists behind the artists without the embellishments that bring whether immortalised in frame rediscovered in kitsch or accepted in dream without reservation. enchantment vs disillusionment is this what sober feels like? a yes, taken at face value disaffected bound only by what can be seen, touched, and felt.
