I want everyone in the world to be in a big massive huge hug, just for a bit, until oxytocin breaks loose and everyone remembers we were once like this in the original form, until we can remember a time we were all one. we all collectively close our eyes and feel everything merging [back] like squidgy squishy fatty blobs coming together, attracted like magnets to the blobs closest in proximity (in nightmarish fashion, with old horror film music as the soundtrack, slowly at first then it picks up - the music and the imagery!!!)…. and then it all clicks into place (it’s squidgy but it still makes a mechanical clicking sound). then smile because it feels so so so nice and open eyes and we forget. because we’re awake. All humanity is awake and forgets that dream but it’s still there, somewhere, underneath to-do-lists and money problems and heartbreak and heartburn and indigestion and funeral homes and armed conflict and meaningless sex and family drama and broken bones and anaemia and chicken soup and vaccines and secret identifies and taxes and batteries. Envisioned as a massive human pyramid. and then it collapses between the moment your eyes are closed and open. in that millisecond when your eye is fluttering open: khalas poof bam gone. the thoughts that follow cannot be more distant from the truth you discovered a few minutes ago, a lifetime ago: “What will I have for breakfast”; “where did my love go?”; “will I be late if I snooze 5 for minutes?”; “today is the day I do it.”;…….. But maybe only one will think: “I had a dream we were all one”.

butterflies were everywhere in august (and before and beyond). at first it felt magical then i remembered it was summer, and trendy, and a back-to-y2k essen…. but it still felt magical. i’m going to pretend i was tuning into the collective unconscious, reflecting the external internally and starting a collective fashion trend.

synchronicity maktoob confirmation bias fate spurious correlations magic underestimated probability gaslighting
