Take a spoonful of honey in exactly the same way that you would take liquid cough medicine. It not only has a great taste, but it also soothes your sore throat by coating it. Sucking on a candy like butterscotch can help too. This will help moisten your throat which will provide some relief from your inflamed throat. Give your face a steaming treatment. Steam is also beneficial if you have a sore throat. Bring water to boil on the stove. Remove the pot from the stove, carefully place it on a flat surface, cover your head with a towel and hover over the pot, allowing the steam to soothe you. Inhale the steam through your nose and down into your throat and you can notice immediate soothing relief for the sore throat you have.
