Because there are a lot of problems related to obesity and I don’t want to be in that state. So I did some research, tested it out and lost a grand total of 7 kg in just a month! What I did during that month was I followed a low carb diet strictly. I avoided any food that has high carbohydrates in it. Things like rice and potatoes are some perfect example of starchy foods that contains a lot of carbohydrates. To balance it up, I took lots of food that contains a lot of proteins like meat and some dairy products.

But that’s not all. Every week I get to ‘cheat’ a little bit. Every Saturday, I would go all out to eat anything that I want. Fast foods, pizzas and whatever that goes to my mind during that day. After Saturday, it is all back to the strict diet again. It seemed like a miracle for me that I lost weight in 1 month just like that when I weighed myself after a month. But yeah, it works. BUT…..

…..I wouldn’t recommend you that method.

The proper way that I lost weight in 1 month It is not that I am selfish or something. Yes it works, but the problem with it is that after I got out of that diet, my weight went up to a few kilos after a 2 weeks! I don’t like that. I mean, when you finally reached your goal of losing weight, you want to keep it that way as much as possible, don’t you?

So I was back to square one again……. This time round, I found a better way. This method that I am going to share with you still will not require you to buy expensive products or whatever gimmicks that you can think of, but it works perfectly according to what I wanted it to be. The results may not be that drastic as compared to the low carb diet, but it can help you retain your dream weight way much longer after you get out of the diet. It takes time for you to finally achieve the results that you want so much though. But it is well worth it. This was what I did. I was fooling around my Android phone and I stumbled across this app called ‘Myfitnesspal’. This app is actually there to help you calculate your calorie intake for the day. It is also available in various other platforms, as well on their website too. Before they help you on that, you need to do your settings properly, so that they will let you know how much you calories you are allowed to consume everyday. So after setting it up, I recorded all my daily activities religiously. The food, what I was doing for the day and the exercise that I had done are some of the items that I would normally record daily. After using this for a while, this app made me realized something valuable with regards to healthy diet - the more you exercise, the more you can eat.

Why? Because exercise increases the number of calories that you are allowed to consume for the day. Anyways, that was basically how I lost weight in 1 month. After a month, I lost between 2 – 5 kilos! I’m not kidding when I said that. And about 5 months back, after quitting my job because I want to find a proper way to make a living than being stuck in a cubicle and have someone to always tell you what to do, for some reason, which I still wondered why I did it, I stopped that diet. But not that completely though, because I was subconsciously aware that I should not be going back to that same situation again. Last week, I checked my weight. I was 65 kilos. Initially, 5 months back, it was 60 kilos. This week, after starting back up on this diet last week, I weighed 64 kilos.

Amazing isn’t it? Considering that I work from home, and NOT moving about as much as I would like to, although I do have the freedom that I want to do anything that I like everyday, like cycling long distance etc. converted by Web2PDFConvert.com


Consistency is the key to lose weight! In my work scope right now, I have learned a very valuable lesson in life. It is about being consistent in the actions that you take before you can finally see some results. This applies to losing weight as well. You need to be consistent in what you are doing.
