135 YEARS OF FALLS PRIDE It's a monumental year here at the School District of Menomonee Falls. Not only are we achieving at record-levels with state awards in athletics, national recognition for our extra-curriculars, multiple sportsmanship awards and spectacular academic achievement, we're celebrating a significant milestone: 135 years of graduating classes! The first graduating class of Menomonee Falls is actually older than the village itself, by a whole decade, making the School District of Menomonee Falls one of the longeststanding institutions of the village. Our first graduating class was in 1882, comprised of just two students, sisters Eliza and Carrie Beringer. Since then the school district has gone through hundreds of changes, moving with the ebb and flow of student enrollment. Currently our graduation rate sits at 98 percent, one of the highest in the state! Our alumni number among successful professional athletes, actors, musicians, scientists, restaurant owners, filmmakers, politicians and community organizers that all received a successful start in the School District of Menomonee Falls. We’d like to invite you share your stories about our district so we can collect an oral history of our district. Do you have a favorite memory? A funny story? A life-changing teacher? We want to hear it! Write it down and mail it to: "135th Anniversary Stories" W156 N8480 Pilgrim Road Menomonee Falls, WI 53051

Would you sit down with one of our students and tell your story on camera? Send an email to shermeg@sdmfschools.org
