Here at FCC CWF Business and Planning Meeting Thursday, May 16 10:00 am, Fellowship Hall All church women are invited to attend. This includes a salad potluck. The planning meeting includes all budget and calendar events for fiscal year 2013-2014. Lunch will be at 12:00 pm.
Pentecost Offering Disciples of Christ support new church ministries each year through the Pentecost Offering. This special offering provides funds for training and support as new ministries arise to reach out to bring new people into the body of Christ. The Pentecost offering in May each year is shared equally among new church ministries in Oregon and in the general church through North America. Our most recent new church venture is the launching of Iglesia Cristiana Peniel in Hillsboro, sharing the space of the Aloha Christian Church. This is an outreach congregation start of Peniel Ministries that shares space with the Lynchwood Christian Church.
Knox Brothers Southern Gospel Quartet in Concert Sunday, June 9 6:00 pm, Sanctuary Make your plans now to attend this fabulous evening of music and song. Invite your family, friends, and neighbors to join you and share in the joyful sound of The Knox Brothers. They are a local group and have been performing for 45 years. A free-will offering will be taken.
Clothes Washer The church is currently purchasing a new clothes washer. If you would like to make a donation towards the purchase, it would be greatly appreciated. Please note on your check memo line: Washing machine. Thank you.
Father’s Day
Pancake Breakfast
Our church will receive the Pentecost offering on May 19. Pentecost gifts are also accepted gratefully throughout the year.
Stumped what to do for your dad on Father's Day? Bring dad and come on down to the church on Sunday, June 16, and treat that special guy to a pancake breakfast.
Culinary Arts Project: Chef Instructor Needed
There will be homemade pancakes with all the toppings, savory sausages, fresh fruit and breakfast beverages.
Chef with experience working in a commercial kitchen is wanted to teach the essentials to five youth at a time, one day a week for six months. Please contact Chris Snow for more details.
Breakfast will be served from 8:30 am to 11:00 am. This gives you, dad and the whole family a chance to attend any and all services that day! (A free-will offering will be taken to cover the cost.)
