Did you know that the holiday decorations on the street lights you enjoy in Fairmont each year are actually paid for and supplied by the Fairmont Area Chamber of Commerce? Each fall, we ask for donations to replenish our designated Community Christmas Decoration Fund. It costs approximately $1,500 per year just to refurbish the street pole decorations as they are getting old and outdated. We are hoping to purchase new ones as these decorations age and fall apart. The replacement costs, however, are quite significant! We would appreciate any donations from local citizens, businesses and organizations in any amount you can manage to help us keep our community shining bright during the holiday season.
