he U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) remains prepared to assist the nation in a time of crisis to the very best of its capabilities. USACE is working with the Trump administration, Department of Defense (DOD), and other federal, state, and local partners in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. USACE is the federal governmentâ€™s lead public works and engineering support agency and provides emergency operations with unique capabilities and experience in medical facilities construction.
The Fort Worth District site assessment team, under the direction of FEMA, worked in partnership with the Texas Army National Guard, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Texas Department of Emergency Management.
Part of the unified national response to emergencies, USACE deploys hundreds of people to provide technical engineering expertise and promote capacity development at home and abroad. 65
