the city, the Shangri-La Hotel. This fivestar venue offers an experience second to none. Overlooking the Chao Phraya River, the lavish rooms offer large beds, a comfortable window seat to look over the passing boats, a flat screen TV, mini bar and a bathroom complete with shower and bath. Immediate comfort is the result. The hotel boasts a stylish gym area complete with plenty of useful equipment. Yoga and other classes are on offer too. Various massages are also an option for those who wish to experience one of Thailand’s most famous exports. The dining options are abundant too. With a buffet that never seemed to end, the choices available were extensive and delicious. One lap around the cuisine circuit never proved to be enough, as scores of dishes and desserts called out, ready to be devoured. A beautiful deck area on the river is the perfect spot to relax and to enjoy these culinary offerings. Thailand is a country of a million smiles, many of which are housed in the ShangriLa Hotel. The staff are some of the friendliest and most proactive employees I have experienced. Always ready to help and to predict your needs. With great security and options for travel from the hotel, the Shangri-La Hotel enables you to get quickly settled and get out and about, to whatever point in the city your heart desires.
