CM, PC review state projects 10th PRC extends

Hyderabad: N.Kiran Kumar Reddy, Chief Minister called on Union Finance Minister Sri P.Chidambaram here this evening at Hotel Park Hyatt. It was purely a courtesy call. It may be mentioned that the Union Minister is in city to participate in the Banker’s meeting on 14-05-2013.

Ap Society For Knowledge Networks (Apsfknw) Inks Deal With Google

HYDERABAD: AP Society for Knowledge Networks (APSFKNW), formerly known as Institute for Electronic Governance (IEG) Exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Google India (P) Ltd today at the Office of the Minister for Information Technology & Communications. The MoU was exchanged between Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Minister for Information Technology & Communications, and Nelson Mattos, vice-president, Europe & Emerging Markets, Google. The MoU was exchanged to train Engineering students from various Jawahar Knowledge Center (JKC) colleges on latest technologies like Mobile and Cloud Computing. Google will also train the trainers / mentors of AP Society for Knowledge Networks and provide required Software, Services & Training Material at free of cost. The MoU was exchanged in the presence of Sanjay Jaju, IAS, Secretary, Information Technology & Communications Department, T. V. Parthasaradhi, Director Communications, Information Technology & Communications Department, Amarnath Reddy Atmakuri, Chief Executive Officer, AP Society for Knowledge Networks, Srinivasa Rao Kandela, Director IT Projects, AP Society for

Knowledge Networks, and Ego Obi Senior, Program Manager, Google. IT Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah thanked Nelson Mattos, Google for being enthusiastic and encouraging about this initiative for the empowerment of students and also encouraged Google to build their own office campus in area allotted by the State government so as to help them expand their business in Andhra Pradesh. The Minister also exhorted the students to make good use of this opportunity and enhance their employability skills and also expressed that he will bring more such initiatives for the benefit of students in future. Nelson Mattos said he visited Hyderabad four times till now and was overwhelmed by the infrastructural advancement in the city on his every visit and also expressed that 70% of their business in India is churned out of Hyderabad. He was also impressed by the super talent from the local workforce. He also invited Ponnala Lakshmaiah to Google’s head office in his next visit to USA. He mentioned that Google shall work closely with Information Technology & Communications Department, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh to bring new Academic Initiative Programs in near future for the benefit of High School students in AP

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today held discussions with Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram on state projects. It is understood that they have reviewed about 28 power and highways projects of the State. The Finance Minister is in city and staying at Hotel. The chief minister called on him and the projects were reviewed as central funds are involved in the projects of the State. Chidambaram also held meeting with bankers on the issue. The 28 projects would need Rs 92,500 crores and the banks have agreed to finance Rs 69,500 crores

date to receive representations

Hyderabad: The 10th State Pay Revision Commission has extended the date to receive representations and memorandums till May 31. According to 10th Pay Revision Commissioner PK Agarwal, the Commission had earlier given an opportunity to all service organisations, associations, Pensioners’ Associations and individuals of all the universities including Acharya NG Ranga Agriculture University, JNTU, for submission of representation/memorandums, etc., in writing on or before April 30. However, in view of popular demand

from various quarters desirous of submitting representations, touching upon any or all the terms of reference may kindly send the same in writing on or before May 31. The representations can be sent to the office of the Pay Revision Commissioner, 10th State Pay Revision Commission, North ‘H’ Block Building, Room No 301, Andhra Pradesh Secretariat, Hyderabad - 500022. “Any representations received after the above stipulated date, shall not be considered and examined by the Commission,” the Commissioner said.

Speaker adjourns TDP MLAs case to May 18 Hyderabad: TDP whip Dhulipala Narender has urged the speaker to take action against all the nine MLAs of the party for defying the whip during the No Confidence Motion. “I am surprised to hear that some of them saying that they did not receive the whip,” he said. Venugopalachary and Harishwar Reddy told the Speaker that they did not receive the whip and the question of disqualification does not arise. Speaker N Manohar has adjourned the hearing of the two MLAs to May 18 after they said they did not receive the whip.
