No entanto, o tempo passou e a pandemia não foi controlada. Foi preciso, então, inovação e superação para resolver os problemas que a paralisação de aulas por todo o país trouxe para a educação em 2020. Uma das alternativas encontradas foi a implementação do ensino remoto por várias instituições, desde as de nível básico até o ensino superior. Aos poucos, profissionais e alunos se adaptaram ao novo normal, e ainda que problemas tenham aparecido nessa nova modalidade de ensino, alguns especialistas ressaltam a importância do uso da tecnologia na educação e as novas possibilidades que ela trouxe. Um dos principais pontos observados por profissionais da área foi o fortalecimento do ensino híbrido (aquele que une aulas online e presenciais). Segundo Micheli Räder, Coordenadora pedagógica do Colégio Seriös, mesmo após o retorno das aulas presenciais em algumas instituições, essa foi uma modalidade ofertada para aquelas famílias que optaram pelo não retorno dos filhos à escola, por diferentes motivos.
