A Picnic in the Countryside – Orient
Im Herzen des großen Tramuntana-Gebirges
In the heart of the great Tramuntana Mountain range is the picturesque village of Orient. Fields of gently blowing grass surround the tiny hilltop village with its stone cottages and cobbled lanes. 2km outside of Orient towards Bunyola a small wooden sign points towards a hiking trail which leads down through the mountains to Santa Maria. The narrow stone donkey trail continues for 10 minutes until emerging in a shady forest, the perfect spot for a countryside picnic.
Im Herzen des großen Tramuntana-Gebirges liegt das malerische Dorf Orient. Sanft im Wind wehendes Gras umgibt das winzige Bergdorf mit seinen Steinhäusern und gepflasterten Gassen. 2 km außerhalb von Orient in Richtung Bunyola verweist ein kleines Holzschild auf einen Wanderweg, der durch die Berge hinab nach Santa Maria führt. Es geht 10 Minuten lang auf einem schmalen Steinweg voran, bis dieser in einen schattigen Wald führt: der ideale Ort für ein Picknick im Grünen.
