In St Helens Welcome to Age Concern Mid Mersey Age Concern Mid Mersey was formed in 2008 by the merger of three local Age Concerns; St Helens, Halton (Runcorn and Widnes) and Warrington. Each of these local charities has been delivering a range of trusted services for many years which have helped many older people to feel safe and secure, be able to mix with others through a variety of activities and which supports many people through difficult times in their lives. Age Concern strives to ensure that older people are not forgotten and that their skills and experience are embraced and enhanced and valued within our communities. We hope to be able to build and expand our services over the coming years and will value as always the support that we received from over 200 volunteers in helping us do our work. However, although this guide focuses on what is happening in the St Helens area contact details for the whole of the Mid Mersey organisation are shown on page 13. If you can, visit our website at www.acmm.org.uk which gives details of all our current services.
