Market Update – 1st Quarter 2013: Strong Sales, Low Inventory, Rising Prices

WM’s first quarter 2013 market update indicated a promising time for South Florida real estate, as it noted more residences are being sold this year than were sold in 2012. Miami-Dade County enjoyed a 10% increase in the number of single family homes sold, as well as a 2% increase for condos. Prices are also on the rise. Compared to last year, the median price of a single family home in the County increased 18% to $204,000 during Q1 2013, and the median price of a condo for the same period increased 25% to $163,000.

WM’s first quarter 2013 market update indicated a promising time for South Florida real estate, as it noted more residences are being sold this year than were sold in 2012.
