The story line that discusses the basis behind Kids in Disguise will be implemented into a short film, toys and a book that discusses the plot behind the characters. The target audience for the brand is children, ages 2 – 12 years old. Parents with their children are also a key part of the target audience, as they will be the ones investing money into this brand for their children. This project is pertains to a design conflict because it will dig deeper into a market that is often forgotten about in relation to design. The final combination of products for my target audience opens up a large variety of possible outcomes.

Kids in Disguise is based upon the journey of children who are all split up in a vicious hurricane. Originally, all of them exist on an island in which they were born without a gender or guardians. With that, all characters are siblings of one another (there is no brother, sister, etc.) and because of that, they adapt to physical disguises which gives them a chance to be who they are within their control. Each disguise is based on the personalities of each child. With little memory and guidance (except each other), each character’s primary goal (indirectly) is to gain personality traits from their siblings and experiences, as well as other characters as possible. With the addition of gained personality traits for each child, they will gain life experience and an understanding of others along the way.

The characters (children) are organized under different “disguises which not only conceals their features (which are all the same) but gives them personalities based upon who they are as a person. Each disguise will be individually named with a combination of nouns and adjectives (no more than two) that describes their personality as well as physical feature(s)..
