• Increase of the system control by the user. A better control is a better management, more precise functionalities and the power to do things that before couldn't be done with a few clicks. Doing by yourself most of the things you really want to get from your CRM system , is something meaningful. And remember, you could always change something and do it even better. Those who work or have worked with Vtiger CRM are very well known to the tools, at least the official ones, that a user can manage quite easily to change the system from the outside. Tools that goe from the layout and picklist editors to the workflows for tasks, events or emails till the mos recient picklist dependency, cron job scheduler or menu editor. Many more of these tools are being created outside the official version according to the clients increasing requests and needs for a bigger management of the system throughout the interface.

Creators and Builders: some examples Some of the tools already done in this sense are: the Workflow Creator to create workflow custom functions (scripts) based on two related modules in both directions. The script is used to update field values from one module to the other with aggregations or even conditioning. The Demo Builder to build a Vtiger CRM complete folder with configurations. The Module Builder to build vtlib scripts for custom modules, fields (especially uitype 10), related lists etc. The Email Cronjob Creator to create cronjob scripts executed based on some conditions with email sending. What is Gmail Bookmarklet? It is an Evolutivo powered application that enables the users of the vtiger CRM and Gmail to create tasks and projects from the mails and have them synchronized to the respective tasks and projects on vtiger.

It also makes it possible through ActiveInBox to assign the status of a project which automatically influences in the Timecontrol of a project. The Timecontrol refers to the duration of a task, labeled as H (for hours). If you don't assign the time it will automatically set it to 4 Hours. You can choose the responsible for a project by assigning to it the label U (for User). Obviously the user should be in your contacts as well in the user list of your vtiger CRM. You can synchronize also the deadline date for an email converted in a project or project task by using the label ZD. Gmail Bookmarklet is an extension that can be used easily, as a routine procedure by the companies that have a well organized Project list, with the projects assigned to thei users, related to the clients and a monitored timing for the projects.

Then open an email you want to convert into task of a project. Assign to it the name of the project, the name of the task (example: P/Project/Task), the assigned user, the duration in hours (example: H/1 means 1 hour) and also the date (example: ZD: 2012-09-19).

Can I use Gmail Bookmarklet if I don't have a well defined list of projects? Yes, because Gmail Bookmarklet allows you to set up new projects manually, even though you din't have them on you CRM. Can I have my Projects assigned to the users(which might be employers, suppliers or else) and have them interacing with my Gmail account? Yes, Evolutivo Team offers to build up your Project List, with a different easier interface with the related list view to the above mentioned modules.

How to use Gmail Bookmarklet? Gmail Bookmarklet as a plugin nedds to be installed in your vtiger CRM. Once installed you will see the Gmail Bookmarklet icon in your CRM interface. By drag-and-dropping it to the Bookmarks Bar you will be able to make vtiger and Gmail "interact".

After having done the above procedure go to the Gmail Bookmarklet icon on your Bookmarks Bar and click on it. At first it will ask you to log in. Do so.

Then close the dialogue window and ri-click the Gmail Bookmarklet icon. You will enter inside the "Create Task view". Automatically the Subject of the email becomes the task's name, you can change it manually, the first rows of the email become the description of the task, if the mail is assigned to a user then the Gmail Bookmarklet assignes it to the task, if not you will be assigned to the task. If you are dealing with an existing task and you want to update it (or modify it), you can check the Update(Aggiorna in the picture below) button.

Now go to your Gmail account and notice the labels above which should be enabled if you use ActiveInBox.If not create them manually as you do for a new project instead use the labels mentioned at the first paragraph of this article. example: U/t.tavanxhiu The Gmail Bookmarklet allows you to select wich parameter you want to use for the task created. It might be Project Task, Trouble Tickets, Accounts, Contacts, Leads, User, Vendors (or even other specific modules that we can enable on your demand).

If you're looking for the ability to sync and also backup multiple folders around your computer, SugarSync is head and shoulders above the rest.

At the end of the day, Google Drive is exactly what Google fans have been looking for: a place to store all of your Google stuff. It syncs to your computer effortlessly, but Dropbox already does that. So where does it beat Dropbox? Since Drive replaces and builds on Google Docs, it's essentially a full-featured cloud document editing and storage suite. Dropbox is still the champ at syncing since it's so reliable and on so many platforms, but if you're looking for the best way to collaborate with others using online documents, Drive is the way to go. If you're looking for the ability to sync and also backup multiple folders around your computer, SugarSync is head and shoulders above the rest. No one sync solution is perfect, so we attempted to give a fair shot to every mainstream app we've heard of and could find online. So, we wanted to provide explanations for why two mainstream options were not included in our list. First,JungleDisk was not included primarily because there is no free way to use the service, and we've compared services that you can use free of charge (like Google Drive). The least expensive option is $3/month, which includes 5GB of storage — a lot compared to other services we looked at. Additionally, most of the apps we checked out offer mobile apps that have been updated recently, while JungleDisk's iOS app has not been updated since August 2010, almost two years ago. Another option we skipped is AeroFS, a very cool new company that lets you "sync" files between computers as long as both computers are turned on. LogMeIn's Cubby provides a similar feature, but also includes traditional "sync to the cloud" capabilities, a baseline feature for our comparison. Thus, AeroFS, which cannot sync your files to "the cloud," was not included. A third detail we want to mention has to do with the criteria we used to judge these apps. We didn't provide each app with a Verge Score, but did measure them in terms of criteria we came up with, which we submitted to each sync app's parent company. Data from our charts is a combination of points we deduced from using the apps and points we gathered from responses to the criteria we submitted to each company. Also, a few clarifications: Multiple folder sync: the ability to sync multiple folders outside of your primary sync folder. For example, SugarSync allows you to pick folders around your computer to sync, while Dropbox does not. Download to mobile: "pin" files to mobile for offline use on all mobile platforms
