Letter From The Editors “Style is evolutionary, rarely revolutionary,” this statement has become almost as well known as the fashion industry itself. Fashion is always changing and evolving, but is any style every completely new? Is it ever truly devoid of all the trends and styles that came before it? The answer is no, because fashion is something that is used over and over again, but tweaked and altered in small ways. I guess the saying “if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it,” really applies to this entire thought process. The idea that fashion trends of the past appear again at later dates is the concept behind this very magazine. Evolution is the one and only fashion magazine that shows the past, present, and future of fashion, and how they all relate to each other. The concept of this magazine came to m e, when I was looking at some vintage fashion photographs a little while ago. I loved the way they told a story, and the glamour and innovation they showed. These photographs have such power because they are as relevant today, as they were less than a century ago. The- se pictures are evidence of fashion being eternal, and styles never truly falling off the radar. Fashion, more so than any other industry, has withstood the tests of time, and that is why it plays such a vital role in so many people’s lives. From the glittery, beaded cocktail dresses of 1920’s, to the full skirts of the 1950’s and 60’s, trends always find a way to come back into style, into our closets, and into our hearts. You see for me, fashion will always be something I can rely and depend on, even when times are difficult , I hope it is the same for you readers. In closing, I just want you all to remember to always let fashion be your guide. Happy reading!
