Advanced Manufacturing Summit Advanced manufacturing is the engine powering the future of our dynamic, constantly changing world and will have a vital role to play in innovative industries, such as biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and medical devices. As we move away from the focus on the resources sector, Australia needs to be positioned to develop and sustain more knowledge-intensive, high value, globally competitive manufacturing industries and companies. The Advanced Manufacturing Summit will bring together key industry, academic and government representatives from across the sector to explore the future of innovation-driven advanced manufacturing. Keynote speakers include Dr Jens Goennemann, Managing Director of the Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre (AMGC), who will outline the AMGC’s vision for a competitive, dynamic and thriving Australian advanced manufacturing sector. Discussions will focus on driving change and embracing opportunities for Australia’s current and future manufacturers and their supply chains, and will include From motors to mice, exploring how the automotive industry’s legacy can be applied to enhance companies working within the life sciences.
