Then: Many businesses in the mall were locally owned. Now: We are the only locally owned business that remains from 1972. Then: Most purchases were made with cash or check. Now: Most purchases are made with credit or debit cards. Then: Rent was about $900 a month. Now: I can assure you it’s a lot more now! Then: Hours were 10–9:30 and closed on Sunday. Now: Hours are 10–9 Monday through Saturday and 12–6 Sunday. Then: The original entryway to the studio was hot pink, shaped like the silhouette of a woman’s face. Now: The studio entrance is a contemporary wall of glass.
