Celebrating God’s healing power in our lives every Thursday night from 6pm- 8:30pm. And for your children, 1st - 6th grade, as we also offer the age appropriate program, “Celebration Place.” Also, for youth, Jr-High through High School, we offer the Landing on Sunday nights from 6pm - 8:30pm. More info: www.calvaryelko.org or 775-7386840 Tenth GBC Film Festival Feb 13-14 and 20-21, 2015 Attention movie fans!! Great Basin College's 10th Annual Film Festival is slated for Feb. 13, 14, 20 and 21. The festival welcomes all GBC students and community members to share their love of cinema. All movies begin at 7 p.m. at the GBC Theater. Tickets are $7 for the public and $5 for students and senior citizens. Tickets can be purchased starting at 6:00 p.m. the night of the movie at the GBC Theater. Free food from local sponsoring restaurants served at 6:15 pm Featured 2015 movies: • Feb. 13 – Coherence (N/R). Strange things begin to happen when a group of friends gather for a dinner party on an evening when a comet passes overhead. Director James Ward Byrkit. Starring Emily Ward, Maury Sterling, Nicholas Brendon. Food provided by The Blue Moon. • Feb. 14 – Tracks (PG-13). A young woman goes on a 1,700-mile trek across the deserts of West Australia with four camels and her faithful dog. Director John Curran. Starring Mia Wasikowska, Adam Driver, Lily Pearl. Food provided by The Merrie Chef. • Feb. 20 -- The Skeleton Twins (R). Having both coincidentally cheated death on the same day, estranged twins reunite with the possibility of mending their relationship. Director: Craig Johnson. Starring Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, Luke Wilson. Food provided by Pizza Barn. • Feb. 21 -- No Place On Earth (PG-13). A cave exploration in Ukraine leads to the unearthing of a story of World War II survivors who once found shelter in the cave. Director: Janet Tobias. Starring Chris Nicola, Fruzsina Pelikan. Food provided by McAdoos.
